I’m opening this section on Management with a book that changed my life. Early in my career, after I had completely given up on civil construction, I enrolled in college to study Advertising. Honestly, everything was great, but I felt something was missing. That was when the company’s president gave me a book called Winning (published in Brazil as Paixão por Vencer), by Jack Welch. I devoured it in a week and, once I had finished it, I decided to give up on something yet again. I dropped out of the Advertising program and switched to Business Administration.
And why talk about management? Because I want to share my experience and thoughts on how to manage a results-driven marketing team. Talking about being results-driven may be a cliché, but knowing how to hire the right team with the right vision is what directly drives a company’s growth.
